Support sales activities as a high-level corporate technical resource for vital pre-sales engagements and key opportunities.
Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain:
Core competency on Rackware’s entire product line and technologies
Expert-level technical and marketing knowledge in regard to Cloud Infrastructure and Cloud based Disaster Recovery
Product knowledge of Rackware’s key competitors.
Act as subject-matter expert in pre-sales design reviews and serve as authoritative consultant to customers and partners providing technical guidance and leadership.
Participate with peers to lead the design and architecture of cloud environments, utilizing and leveraging all aspects of Rackware’s product line to create superior solutions in competitive environments.
Become a trusted advisor to our focus partners. Provide training to partner System Engineers at various events worldwide and mentor technical specialists within customers.
Serve as Virtual Team Leaders and act as voice representing the International Sales Organization from a technical perspective at various meetings and committees.
Work closely with Product Management and Engineering to help identify, qualify, and develop features critical to Rackware’s success.
Write whitepapers, tech notes, and other high-level technical documentation as required.
Provide status reports in timely manner and ensure open communication within teams and throughout Rackware. Use of Salesforce.com required.
Requirements
Minimum 5 years technical experience in IT infrastructure
Knowledge of multiple operating systems and cloud environments
Other, competitive products (will be a plus)
Team worker, focused on reaching objectives
Excellent communication and public speaking skills
Ability to travel on short notice (national and international)
Education:
BSEE or equivalent experience
